Discovering true alternative performance

At 151 Capital Management LLC, we seek to refine alternative investment management. Our mission is to partner with investors who value proper hedging and diversification, offering bespoke investment strategies tailored to their unique needs. With a focus on institutional-grade solutions, we combine extensive industry expertise with responsible decision making.

As broader markets and traditional asset classes continue to navigate through periods of volatility, the appetite for uncorrelated investment strategies continues to expand with force. Through our robust investment process and honest founding principles, 151 Capital is uniquely positioned to serve as the ideal thought partner and steward for its investors.

A Personal Note

Throughout my life, when finding the right person to associate with, whether it be a manager, a mentor, an intern, or even a babysitter, I often seek out three qualities: competence, integrity and heart. After almost 20 years in institutional portfolio management and 15 years of fatherhood, I have found that these attributes contributed greatly not only to my growth as a manager and parent, but also to the many healthy relationships that I am blessed to have today. It only makes sense that 151 Cap should be founded on the same principles.

Yes, we are in the performance business, but first and foremost we are in the trust business. We strive for strong returns, but we don’t promise them. What we do promise is that everything we operate by will be driven by these founding principles. This is the commitment we make to our partners and is the same commitment we make to ourselves and our loved ones.

Our Values

Competence

We do our job with discipline, accuracy, and excellence above others. We trust that if we build a strong process across all functions, we will deliver favourable results consistently.

Integrity

We are guided by an innate moral compass paired with heavy emphasis on honesty and transparency; we tell you what you need to hear, not what you want to hear.

Heart

We have a humility that drives us to always ask questions and learn from our mistakes. We recognize that we are human, which leads us to embrace our strengths but more importantly, account for our weaknesses.
